A white timber hut on the Brace peninsula, kept by three keepers who share the fog-signalling duty and the logbook. The visitor window is Thursday to Sunday, 10:00 to 16:00, and the logbook is on the desk for anyone who signs the visitors' page.

Site
The instruments
The Stevenson screen sits on the south fence, painted the regulation white and repainted every spring. The rain gauge is the brass one from 1947, still the reference.
Automatic sensors log every minute; the observer's hand entries settle any argument between them. On windy days the anemometer talks more than the observers do.
